I want to begin by thanking all of my loyal subscribers over the past 2 years. I continue to be appreciative by your comments and support of my Changing Your Lens business and technology blog. What I thought was a dumb idea years ago when the idea was brought to me by University of Cincinnati, professor and innovator, Drew Boyd, has truly developed into a rewarding experience and has allowed me to meet, learn from, and help some amazing business and technology professionals. The year of 2020 didn’t go as planned regarding this blog, and I didn’t write as many articles as the previous year. The simple and obvious reason was there were much more important things occurring outside of the business and technology world. Honestly, I couldn’t get motivated to write about cybersecurity or business strategy when people around me were being diagnosed with Covid-19 and some even losing their battle to the awful virus.
With all the craziness that was 2020, I was able to meet some of my goals with this blog. Here is a short recap:
• Guest Blogging – This one took a backseat. I do plan to incorporate this during 2021. Please reach out to me if you would be interested in contributing.
• Instant Translation to Spanish – I was able to add this feature and all my articles now easily translated to Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and Japanese.
• More Integrated with Social Media – Every article now has several social media icons (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp) which allow you to immediately share the post among your social media network.
Although 2020 was quite challenging for most of us, I believe it grounded us in what exactly our priorities should be – Faith and Family, and not what they typically are – accumulation of material assets, living in excess, and self-absorption.
Once again, thank you for a rewarding 2nd year for Changing Your Lens! I continue to be humbled at the number of subscribers this blog has attracted. I wish each of you a healthy and prosperous 2021!
